If memory serves me right, and it often doesn't, I think I was down in San Diego that year, visiting my parents, so I must have seen some of the festivities. My most vivid memory of that time was going to Sea World. 'IKIKI BEACH' sounds like fun. Everyone was in the Red, White and Blue mood.

SOooooo... I guess some of this stuffs might not register with you like it did with me and my brother, Judge Al. The painted fire hydrants won't mean a thing to you, but they were EVERYWHERE here.

Do you remember the reputation that Ford Pintos had? What they were notoriously known for?

DEBBIE, save it for some night when you're in a very lighthearted mood, and then take a little trip with David Cassidy to "IKIKI BEACH". Sometimes a cold Mojito and a silly movie is just what the doctor ordered.

I not only own the movie on DVD but also own the soundtrack on CD. That's how much this movie amuses me.

I don't think they missed a single fad that was big around the year 1976. Remember all the restaurants listing their menu items with names like "The Constitution Burger" and "The Liberty Salad"? Remember all the fire hydrants painted with red, white and blue patriotic themes? And all the self-help seminars? It's all here!

IMO, the movie is worth watching for the Ford Pinto scene ALONE!

It's totally goofy, but a good goofy.

~ D-FensDogG
[Link:) Ferret-Faced Fascist FriendsStephen T.
